Thanks to everyone that contributed to the relief efforts in Haiti.
Obviously, there is still much work that needs to be done, and money that will need to be donated.
When I started this blog, I anticipated that I would keep it current until Feb 14, 2010.
With that said, I will keep it here, as a nice reminder of those Artist/Crafters that have so generously donated proceeds to various charities. Many of them will continue to donate, so please check their shop announcements.
Thanks again. I am so proud of the Handmade Community!

Meet the Artists
Twenty artists work to keep Heart for Haiti going strong. In a short time, they have raised over 25,000 for Doctors Without Borders.
They have profiled many of them on their blog
Take a moment, visit their blog. In this virtual world, it's always nice to "meet" the artists!
------------
Other news:
Many artists are donating proceeds until Feb 14th, so continue your searches on twitter and Etsy to connect with them!
(or use the links on the right side bar....they will take you directly to some artists shops on Etsy).

Thank You Etsy
Yesterday, the Etsy Finds was dedicated to their sellers that are donating to the Haiti Relief efforts.
Take advantage of this opportunity to see so many talented artists, gathered in one place.

As always, you can use the Etsy Search to find many others that are donating, but were not metioned in the Etsy Finds.

Inspired
Everyday, I am inspired by the strength of the Etsy community. Buyers and sellers have done an awesome job of raising money for various Relief efforts in Haiti.
They have been using Facebook, Twitter and other resources to spread the word.
I started this blog because I felt it was the best way I could help. I have donated a small amount personally, and I am donating some profits from the sales in my Etsy shop. But, I knew that I had the power, and resources to do more. Because I have time. And if the time I spend equals donations, then it is all worthwhile.
But I need your help.....
Please spread the word. Tweet us. Facebook us. And *gasp* tell people, face to face. Together, we can Help Haiti.
Thank you!

All proceeds from these Mixed Bag magnets (her best selling magnets) by Tanner Glass will be donated to the American Red Cross (for a limited time).
Take a look around her Etsy shop for items tagged with HHH.....20% of proceeds from those items will also be donated.
Lisa at Pink Lemondade Boutique has designed some super sweet clutches for Valentine's Day.....with the proceeds from many of them being donated to the Relief efforts.
Passione is one of my favorites.
Please continue to spread the word........and HHH welcomes your suggestions and comments!
Thank you!

More to Choose From
Twitter has been a great resource for finding artists, crafters and designers that are donating to Haiti.
If you use twitter, search #etsy4haiti or #hhh to connect with them
Just a couple that I found:
Enhabiten: donating $5 of every purchase (update: her husbands business is matching her donations, so in reality, it's $10 of every purchase).
Phydeaux: donating 100% of proceeds from her best selling knitting pattern.
Feel free to post others in the comments, and look through previous posts to find other artists that are donating!
Thank you!!

Hearts For Haiti
A group of Etsy sellers have joined forces to raise money for Doctors Without Borders. They have created an Etsy shop, called HeartsforHaiti
Currently, their shop is filled with Heart themed items (great for Valentine's Day!), so get on over there and take a look! Be sure to read their Shop Announcement and Policies if you are wondering how this all works.
Other ways to search Etsy for items/sellers donating to a great cause:
Use these terms in the search bar:

Thank you for supporting this effort!
If you are a Handmade seller (on or off Etsy), and are donating a portion of your proceeds to the Relief effort in Haiti, leave a comment, and we will be sure to feature you!

Off to a Good Start
Jen at Indie Fixx has organized the Haiti Relief Fundraiser. As a huge supporter, and promoter of Handmade, it is no surprise that Jen rose to the occasion and organized this event.
All goods have been donated by a group fo very generous indie crafters, designers and artists and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross International Response Fund.
Kudos, Jen!

Other ways you can connect with artists, crafters and designers that are donating:
Visit: Etsy.com and enter HHH in the search bar, and find many different, awesome items to choose from!
Here are some great finds!
Wendy at DesignsbyWendyT is generously donating 50% of proceeds on items tagged with HHH
Diana at dsbrennan is donating 50% of all sales (on all items in her shop!)
A special, extra thanks to Diana, for helping with this blog. Thanks Di!
As a friendly reminder, HHH is not responsible for collecting the money. Each donation, and it's follow through is the responsibility of the artist. Thank you!

You Can Help
Like many of you, I was heartbroken by the news of the recent, devastating earthquake in Haiti.
I've sat in front of the TV, with tears in my eyes, wondering what I could do to help. Sure, I could make a donation. But, I knew I could do more. For, I am part of a powerful movement.....the Handmade Movement. I am surrounded by artists, crafters and collectors that want to help.
With a little thought, HHH was born. It is intended to be a resource for you to find artists and crafters that are offering their support.
All of the artists participating have pledged to donate a portion, or all of their proceeds to the charity of their choice. Please note, it is up to the individual artist/crafter to follow through with their pledge. HHH is not responsible for making any donations.
So, how do you find the artists that are participating?
1. Check back here, as I will be adding links and posts about them
2. Visit Etsy.com and search for HHH in Tags/Titles
